Milk Be Gone – When You’re Ready to Stop Nursing Milk Be Gone – When You’re Ready to Stop Nursing

13 Aug , 2015

National Breastfeeding Month is well underway!  We enjoy sharing knowledge, tips and tricks about nursing during this month with all of you.

One aspect of breastfeeding that is overlooked during this month is weaning and drying up your milk.  Eventually every nursing relationship comes to an end. We’d been hearing a lot of feedback from mamas wishing for help drying up their milk after they were done nursing and we’re happy to announce our new tea, Milk Be Gone.

This delicious, refreshing tea blend has been carefully designed to help out in the process.  We think you’ll enjoy this tea as you wind down your nursing relationship with your little one!

Milk Be Gone contains the following herbs:

Sage-
Sage is one of the most commonly used herbs for drying up milk supply.  (In fact the day after Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days for lactation consultants from mother’s who ate too much sage with their meal!)

Peppermint- This herb adds a great flavor, is soothing for the stomach and helps aid in drying up breast milk.

Orange PeelWe primarily add orange peel to help round out the flavor of Milk Be Gone.  It also helps to provide an energizing and positive effect on mood.

HibiscusThis beautiful flower adds a lovely sweet-tartness that complements the orange peel nicely.  It also adds visual appeal and gives the tea a stunning pink tint.

These four herbs blend beautifully to create a tea we hope you’ll love.  Milk Be Gone is available in tins and bulk bags.   Please let us know if you have any further questions- we’re always available via email at info@birdsandbeesteas.com or on Facebook.

We encourage you to seek advice from a lactation consultant, physician or La Leche League leader if you need any assistance.
